3% of the way… The days seem to be going by even faster…
Just over four weeks complete - and I'm starting to panic about how much needs to be done before Bob leaves for Japan - and there's so little time to do it in - especially with the Japan trip people training five days a week now, until departure. Bob has lost almost 6kgs now since 31st December, but is looking fit, well and healthy - with occasional bursts of really good humour.
We're in the process of selling our vehicles (the Uno was sold yesterday - when we thought we'd sold he bakkie) and will be replacing it with the bottom of the range Hyundai Getz - been a crazy stressful period. Bob went off yesterday to meet with a Chinese mob that we'd met at the Drive-In sale the day before to sell the Bakkie. An hour later and no word and I was in a froth of concern - but the sale fell through… with no harm done.
Otherwise, Storm and Sean collected Bob's passport, complete with requisite visa - so all that's left is forex and packing…
Progress on the rest of the student's visas for Japan has not been good. They requested a trainng letter from us - which was provided... and then wanted a letter from Japan. Things are currently in a delicate balance, but we're still optimistic for a happy resolution. Classes are progressing well - we have a total of 5 new / returning students signed up in January, and a few more knocking at the door... on that note... we welcome back Richard Maccallum and Rossario Sarno. Bob has likened the stage he is at to being at Koyasan buying the gear he needs for the pilgrimage - says there have been many necessary adjustments that are taking place… but in relation to Shikoku, he hasn't started walking yet…
Shaz says: 5am is much better on my system - and I'm considerably less tired for the adjustment - and dealing with the guilt of sleeping in is not as hard as I first imagined!! My allergic reaction hung around for almost a week, but is now clear. One short edit on Reader's Digest article to go, two fresh articles to be completed by the 9th and 12th of Feb - and Bob's departure on the 15th has me in a spin - not to mention the extra time spent on choosing and selling vehicles. We also had Ted, the carpenter, in on Monday (and will be back again on Wednesday) to complete the work in the library… I could sum it all up in one word: CHAOS - but not unhappy chaos!
